Description
The electromagnetic flow transmitter, with rugged, robust energy calculator that is ideal for commercial and industrial installations with a wide range of communication possibilities. It fulfils the IP67 requirements guarantee that the meter is resistant to dust, humidity and water, ensuring that no matter how hostile the conditions, the meter will continue accurately measuring.
The calculator can be read remotely using a wide variety of communication methods, some of which are in-built such as pulsed output and 4 analogue outputs.
It is a high end thermal energy calculator for industrial applications. Effectively protected against dust and humidity and backlit display. A wide range of built-in functions makes this energy meter a single box solution.
Measure theory
This magnetic flow meter is designed based on Faraday’s law of magnetic induction. A voltage is induced in a conductor moving through a magnetic field. The following medium is the moving conductor in the electromagnetic measuring principle, . The voltage induced is proportional to the flow velocity and is supplied to the amplifier by means of two measuring electrodes. The flow volume is calculated by means of the pipe cross section area.

How to use the magnetic flow meter
The ElectroMagnetic flowmeters measure the velocity of conductive liquids in pipes, such as water, acids, caustic, and slurries. Magnetic flowmeters can measure properly when the electrical conductivity of the liquid is greater than approximately 5μS/cm. Be careful because using magnetic flowmeters on fluids with low conductivity, such as deionized water, boiler feed water, or hydrocarbons, can cause the flowmeter to turn off and measure zero flow.
