Description
A grooved coupling clamp can be: flexible couplings, or rigid couplings. The victaulic type flexible couplings are designed to connect the grooved pipe systems. To function as grooved pipe joints / pipe fittings connector, a rigid couplings are designed to interconnect the grooved pipes so that there is no relative motion between them. Rigid groove couplings are commonly applied when precise alignment of the two grooved pipes / shafts is required. Significant radial or axial misalignment can cause high stress and lead to premature failure.
