Compared with fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP), carbon steel can withstand higher working pressure, usually up to 10-16 bar or even higher.

4. Carbon steel material high temperature resistance

Carbon Steel Filter vs. Fiberglass Filter
Carbon steel filter is a better choice if it needs to withstand high pressure, high flow rate, or for industrial grade applications.
If the water quality is corrosive (e.g. acidic and alkaline water), you need to do anti-corrosion coating, or choose FRP filter.
If the budget is limited and it is a low-pressure system (e.g. swimming pool, home water purification), fiberglass filters are more economical.
