Galvanized Steel Wire Strand 7/12SWG galvanized steel conductor is a steel product composed of multiple galvanized steel wires twisted together.  

The direction of lay is defined as right-hand or left-hand. With right-hand lay, the wires conform to the direction of the central part of the letter Z when the strand is held vertically. With left-hand lay, the wires conform to the direction of the central part of the letter S when the strand is held vertically.

BS 183 standard Steel strands are divided into 7 levels according to the nominal tensile strength: 350MPa, 480MPa, 700MPa, 850MPa, 1000MPa, 1150MPA, 1300MPA

Minimum mass of coating for Wire of tensile strength less than 540 N/mm2 and  Minimum mass of coating for Wire of tensile strength 540 N/mm2 and above
