Monel 400 Pipe is made up of a nickel alloy that has roughly 67% nickel in the composition. The material is extremely corrosion resistant against sea water. The material is made up of carbon, aluminum, manganese, silicon, iron, sulfur and 28% copper along the nickel base. This composition provides the Monel 400 Tube with excellent mechanical properties and physical properties.The material has 240MPa minimum yield strength and 550MPa minimum tensile strength.
The UNS N04400 Tubing has high melting point of 1350 degrees Celsius and therefore it can operate under elevated temperature applications. The specifications are ASTM B165 and B725 for this grade of nickel copper alloy. There are seamless, welded, ERW and fabricated tubes and pipes. The ASME SB165 Monel 400 Seamless Pipe comes under ASTM, ASME and API standards with the sizes ranging from 15 inches to 150inches in nominal bore size.
