1. Description
Category 5 cable, abbreviated as CAT.5, is a twisted pair cable used in computer network and multimedia cable used in data, voice and other information communication services. It is widely used in Ethernet and broadband access projects, and its quality is directly related to the transmission quality of information communication.With the development of optical fiber and communication technology, the influence of twisted-pair on communication quality is gradually decreasing.
Category 6 cable. The transmission frequency of Class 6 cable is 1MHz ~ 250MHz, and the comprehensive attenuation crossttalk ratio (PS-ACR) of Class 6 cable system should have a large margin at 200MHz, which provides twice the bandwidth of Class 5 cable with 100M, Super 5 cable with 155M, and Class 6 cable with 200M.In short distance transmission, Class 5, Super 5 and 6 can reach 1Gbps. The transmission performance of Class 6 cabling is higher than that of Class 5 and Super 5 standards, and it is most suitable for applications with transmission rate higher than 1Gbps.
