Molecular distillation process has the advantages of avoiding the problem of toxicity that occurs in techniques that use solvents as the separating agent, and also of minimizing losses due to thermal decomposition. and can be used in a continuous feed process to harvest distillate without having to break vacuum.
So TOPTION molecular distillation plant is widely used industrially for purification of oils, enrich borage oil in γ-linolenic acid (GLA) and also to recover tocopherols from deodorizer distillate of soybean oil (DDSO).

2.Main features of 20L stainless steel short path distillation:
– 20L jacketed stainless steel feed tank, which has built-in integrated PTFE pressure differential valve feeding tank, jacket design, can be heated and achieve heat preservation by circulating heat conduction oil.
-Material feed through the evaporator’s top side, which could make a small amount of low boiling point impurity be degassing, prevent material liquid splashes caused by material foaming.
-S304 stainless steel short path evaporator, whose surface is 0.2㎡.
-Heavier component discharge system and lighter component discharge system both are 30L capacity.
– External condenser system: 1set condenser whose heat exchange area is 0.4㎡, material is S304 stainless steel.
