Calcium Lignosulphonate:
Direct application of lignosulfonate to leather tanning is not effective. Chemically modified lignesulfonates with appropriate particle radius distribution and resulting in better soluble collagen reacting with functional group reactive groups can be used for leather tanning or retanning. The suitable modified sulfonate (re) tanning agent can produce leather properties to meet the market demand and help to reduce the environmental pollution caused by chromium ions in tannery wastewater.
The main improvements of the method are: lignosulfonic acid and phenol, formaldehyde condensates: Lignosulfonic acid and dihydroxymethylurea-phenol sulfonic acid condensates; Condensation of lignosulfonic acid and dihydroxydiphenyl sulfone; Lignic acid with dicyandiamide, formaldehyde condensation; After condensation of sulphonated phenolic aldehyde, aluminum or chromium salts of lignosulfonic acid and chromium compounds are formed. High quality sulfonic acid resin can also be dried to improve the drying power and dispersion of the product spray.
