Concrete is a composite material made of cement, aggregate, mixture and water. Concrete is the largest of all man-made materials. Three quarters of concrete is aggregate, but the most active component in concrete is cement slurry. The properties and properties of concrete are mainly determined by the properties of cement slurry. Mixtures in concrete can provide some beneficial effects such as accelerating solidification, delaying solidification, making air bubble, reducing water consumption and increasing plasticity. Sodium gluconate as a water reducer
The water-cement ratio (W/C) can be reduced by adding water reducing agent. The following effects can be obtained by adding sodium gluconate:
1. Improve workability. When the water cement ratio (W/C) remains unchanged, adding sodium gluconate can improve the workability. At this time, sodium gluconate is acting as a plasticizer. When the amount of sodium gluconate is less than 0.1%, the improvement of workability is proportional to the amount added.
2. Increase the intensity. The water content in the concrete can be reduced (i.e. W/C is reduced) while the cement content remains constant. When the amount of sodium gluconate is 0.1%, the amount of water added can be reduced by 10%.
3, reduce the cement content. The water and cement content decreased in the same proportion, and the W/C ratio remained the same.
