Scanning electron microscope results show that the copolymer can not only form stable chelate with Ca2+ in water, but also chelate with Ca2+ on the interface of calcium carbonate crystal. The chelate formed occupies the crystal lattice position of normal growth, causing lattice distortion and becoming a form of soft scale, which is not easy to deposit.
