Food Processing: In the food industry, rotary drum thickeners are typically used for the thickening and dewatering of food waste slurry, fruit and vegetable processing waste, and other organic byproducts. The process involves the following steps:
Sludge Introduction: The food waste slurry or organic byproducts are introduced into the rotary drum thickener through an inlet pipe or a sludge feed pump.
Rotary Drum Operation: Inside the rotary drum thickener, a slowly rotating drum with a porous medium allows water or filtrate to drain through while retaining the solids.
