                               Working principle                            

Filtration is an important link in water treatment process. During the operation of filter in water supply engineering, with the increase of sewage interception in filter material layer, the porosity of filter material is continuously reduced, the permeability of sludge is deepened, and the resistance to water flow is increased, resulting in the decrease of filter speed, the rise of water level and the rise of turbidity of filtered water. Practice has proved that the air-water backwashing method has better effect than the water backwashing method. The air-water backwashing method can destroy the structure of the mud ball in the filter material. When the air is washed, it will produce great vibration to the filter material. The filter material will repeatedly collide and rub, the filter material layer is stirred violently, the mud ball cannot be formed, and the formed mud ball structure will also be damaged by vibration, and all the adherents on the filter material will fall off and be taken away by the backwashing water .
