1. The motor is easier to burn the winding than in the past because of the continuous development of the insulation technology. In the design of the motor, both the increase of output and the reduction of the volume are required, so that the heat capacity of the new type of motor becomes smaller and smaller, and the overload capacity becomes weaker and weaker; Due to the increase in the degree of automation of production, the motor is often required to operate in frequent starting, braking, reversing, and changing loads, which imposes higher requirements on the motor protection device. In addition, the application of the motor is wider. Often working in harsh environments, such as humid, high temperature, dust, corrosion and other occasions. Coupled with the non-standard motor manufacturing, equipment management oversight. All this has caused today's motors to be more easily damaged than in the past, especially overloads, short circuits, phase loss, brooms, etc.
2. The traditional protection device has a poor protection effect. It is the traditional motor protection device that mainly includes fuses and thermal relays. Fuse is mainly used for short-circuit protection. The selection of fuse current needs to consider the starting current of the motor. Therefore, using a fuse alone to protect the motor is not desirable. Thermal relay is the most widely used motor overload protection device, but the thermal relay has low sensitivity, large error, poor stability and unreliable protection. This is precisely the fact that, although many devices have thermal relays installed, the phenomenon of motor damage that affects normal production still prevails. The traditional protection device has not yet been able to realize the motor wear monitoring, rotor eccentric monitoring products.
