U-shaped screw feeder is widely used in industry, and its structure includes U-shaped groove, spiral shaft, spiral blade, drive device and inlet and outlet. The groove body is made of high quality steel plate, and the drive device includes motor and reducer. When working, the motor is driven by the reducer to rotate the spiral shaft, and the material enters from the feed port. Under the axial thrust of the spiral blade, it moves upward along the U-shaped slot to the discharge port to complete the feeding. Its compact structure covers a small area, sealing cover plate with U-shaped design, anti-leakage and dust effect is good, suitable for high health requirements of the industry. And the transmission efficiency can be adjusted according to the characteristics and needs of the material, the main parts are easy to replace, easy to maintain, can transport powder, granular, small block and other materials, a wide range of application.
 
Working principle
The working principle of U-type screw feeder is based on mechanical transmission and screw propulsion mechanism. The motor in the driving device is energized and the high-speed rotating power generated is transmitted to the reducer. The reducer converts the high speed and low torque of the motor output into the low speed and high torque suitable for the work of the spiral shaft.
 
The rotating spiral shaft drives the spiral blade to rotate synchronously, and the material falls into the U-shaped groove from the feed port. When the spiral blade rotates, its surface exerts normal thrust on the material, and this force is decomposed into the component force along the spiral axis and perpendicular to the axis. The vertical component makes the material rotate around the axis, but the U-shaped groove wall limits this rotation. The axial component force pushes the material to overcome the friction with the groove wall and itself, and moves upward along the U-shaped groove until it reaches the discharge port, realizing the continuous conveying of the material from the low to the high.
