Working principle
The working principle of the screw conveyor is as follows:
1. Material feeding: Materials enter from the feeding port of the conveyor. The feed port can be a funnel, storage tank or other material supply device that directly loads materials.
2. Rotating screw: Driven by an electric motor or other driving device, the screw begins to rotate. The direction of rotation of the helical screw can be to push material forward or to discharge material backward, depending on the application requirements.
3. Material conveying: The rotating spiral screw pushes the material from the feed port to the discharge port. The material is pushed forward along the spiral groove of the spiral screw under the action of the spiral blades of the spiral screw. During the advancement process, the material will be stirred, sheared and pushed by the spiral blades, thereby achieving continuous conveying of the material.
4. Discharge: When materials are pushed to the discharge port, they are released or discharged to the target location, which can be another conveying equipment, storage container or processing equipment, etc.
Application
Screw conveyor according to the transmission form is divided into shaft screw conveyor and shaftless screw conveyor. According to the appearance, it is divided into U-shaped screw conveyor and tubular screw conveyor. Axial flow screw conveyor is suitable for cement, fly ash, lime, food and other non-viscous powder materials and small particle materials; Shaftless screw conveyor is suitable for conveying viscous, easily wound materials (such as sludge, biomass,), fibers, etc.
