The carbide seal ring is a kind of shaft seal device for rotating machinery face seal application, such as centrifugal pumps, reactors, and compressors.
In engineering, a fit refers to the space between two mating parts, transmission shaft and the equipment, fluids in the equipment are easily run off without a shaft seal device.
The choice of an engineering fit determines whether the two parts can move relative to each other in case of a clearance fit, or act as a whole part in case of a tight interference fit, that's the sealing purpose.
The mechanical face seal contains a stationary seal face/ring and a rotating seal face/ring. Wolfram carbide is a perfect material for manufacturing carbide seal rings which are widely used in most harsh and aggressive environments, especially for the oil and gas industry, and acidic mechanical application.
