Good heat resistance, good weldability and excellent corrosion resistance. The drawback is that the room temperature strength is low. Titanium has a wide range of uses in the military industry. Nuclear-powered submarines, hydrofoil boats, anti-tank missiles, missile launchers, bulletproof vests, etc. In the aviation industry, civilian aircraft, strategic rocket engines, spacecraft satellite antennas and other large amounts of titanium.  Due to the weak rejection reaction of titanium metal with human tissue, it is widely used in artificial bones, artificial joints, artificial teeth and other human implants. At room temperature, the chemical activity of titanium is very small and can react with a few substances such as hydrofluoric acid, but when the temperature increases, the activity of titanium increases rapidly, especially at high temperature, titanium can react violently with many substances. The smelting process of titanium is generally carried out at a high temperature above 800℃, so it must be operated in a vacuum or under the protection of an inert atmosphere.
