The silicone oil fan clutch uses silicone oil as the medium and uses the shear viscosity of the silicone oil to transmit torque. The speed of the fan is designed to ensure that the engine does not overheat under the most demanding operating conditions. For engine-driven fans, a fan clutch is usually used to control its speed. The inside of the clutch is sealed by viscous fluid (silicone oil), and torque is transmitted through its shear viscous force. The bimetal plate is installed in front of the fan to detect the temperature of the air passing through the radiator, thereby controlling the amount of silicone oil in the fan working chamber, and transmitting torque to rotate the fan only when necessary.
