UMI is trans-pressing technique on three-dimensional colorful glittering glass. It creates a metallic texture on the glass, which makes the part combines the transparency of glass and metallic close texture. Meantime, it makes the part have a powerful function.

Features of UMI on Decorative Tempered Glass

UMI can also make the electric capacity of Hi-end electronic products (cellphone, PAD, etc.) and adopt the developing technique to colorful glittering home appliance glass panel. Through coating, it can get developing and touchable effect which has the metallic texture but non-conducting.
When touch, it will light; the display panel can be hidden when leave. The appearance is even and consistent, with sufficient high-end technology (This process has already been used on Haier Refrigerator).

Decorative Tempered Glass Test

1. Wear-resisting, Use a clean flannel cloth to rub 5000 times on the front side at the speed of 30 times / min and travel 40mm (one return is one time), and the friction pressure is 5N / cm2. After the test, the front surface of the sample should be clear and distinguishable, without peeling, exposing the bottom and obvious discoloration.
2. Temperature change, The samples with tempered glass and homogeneous toughened glass were placed in an oven with (200 ± 2) ℃ and semi tempered glass with (100 ± 2) ℃ for 4H. After taking out, the samples were immersed in the ice water mixture at 0 ℃ vertically. It should be ensured that more than 1 / 3 of the sample height can be immersed in water. After 5min, observe whether the glass is damaged. The fish scale peeling on the front and edge of glass is not considered. The sample shall be free from breakage
3. Cold and hot cycle resistance, Put the sample into the control box, leave appropriate space before the sample, and close the temperature regulating box. According to the distribution in Fig. 2, the temperature of the sample is cycled between (- 30 ± 2) ℃ and (50 ± 2) ℃. At each extreme temperature, it should be kept stable for at least 2 h, and the cycle time should not exceed 6 h. The cycle time should be 5 times. After natural cooling to room temperature, visual observation should be conducted after 30min. After the test, the front and back sides of the sample should be free of peeling, cracks and falling off.

A: It depends on different thickness and for thick glass; we usually use water jet + CNC.
For thin glass, we use CNC for cut hole to make sure no breakage chips exist from hole edge.
