The positive electrode is composed of lithium cobalt oxide powder coated on both sides of the aluminum foil current collector for bonding purposes; the negative electrode structure is similar to the positive electrode, consisting of carbon powder bonded to both sides of the copper foil current collector. The copper in the negative electrode of waste lithium batteries is an important production raw material, and the carbon powder adhered to it can be used as an additive for plastics, rubber, etc. The mechanical physical method does not require the use of chemical reagents and consumes low energy, making it environmentally friendly and efficient method.
