Description

Tantalum is a hard blue-gray rare transition metal with moderate hardness, ductility and excellent chemical properties

Quality, with very high corrosion resistance. Tantalum is particularly resistant to chemical corrosion at temperatures below 150°C and can only be dissolved with hydrofluoric acid.

It has the fourth highest melting point of all metals and is capable of forming an extremely thin and protective oxide layer for high quality

Capacitors make it an excellent material for plates.

Manufacturing

Tantalum can be manufactured into welded tubes and seamless tubes, and has a wide range of uses. Seamless pipes are manufactured by extrusion, pipe reduction, or deep drawing with sheet metal. The manufacturing method of welding is to form a plate strip, then make a tube shape, and then weld the joint with a gas tungsten arc (GTAW).
