A: Aqueous coating is a water based mixture of water and additives applied to paper sushi container. It protects against moisture and scuffing and is environmentally friendly compared to non-aqueous coatings. Unlike other materials, aqueous coating is thinner and easier to handle during recycling. It is painted on the food packaging material and soaks into the paper fibers.
