The AMT Series thermostat available from AMPFORT offers an open frame design and provides a safer and more reliable protection on circuits.The PTC component and contact circuit form a parallel circuit. With the heating up of temperature, the contact circuit is off and current flows through PTC component to form a loop.The temperature of the PTC component increases rapidly, and being higher than the rated reset temperature, it keeps the circuit in the off state. When the main power is removed, the temperature decreases to the reset temperature of bimetallic strip, the strip recovers rapidly and contact closes.
