There is often a layer of fluff on the surface of cotton fabrics. Traditional treatment methods generally include singeing and mercerizing. Although the effect after treatment is relatively ideal, quality problems such as streaks and color differences often occur during subsequent dyeing due to unreasonable processes or improper operations. The bio-polishing agent can catalytically decompose the 1,4-glycosidic bond on cellulose fibers and has a degrading effect on cellulose. The application of this agent in textile dyeing and finishing is called bio-polishing technology. Cotton knitted fabrics treated by bio-polishing have the characteristics of smooth fabric surface, clear texture and soft hand feeling, and bio-polishing treatment also has a certain positive effect on improving the dyeing quality of grey fabrics. Cellulase (bio-polishing agent) is especially suitable for cotton spandex fabrics, and it causes less damage to fibers.

[Usage]

[Application Method]

Enzyme dosage: 0.08 ~ 0.2%
pH value: 6.0～6.5
Treatment temperature: 55°C;
Treatment time: 90 minutes
Recommended process:
Water ratio: 1:4～5
pH value: 6.0～ 6.5 (especially important)
Rotation speed: 20% slower than dyeing (for example, if the dyeing speed is 250 revolutions per minute, it is reduced to 200 revolutions per minute)
Water flushing pressure: A little slower, 20% slower than dyeing
Water quality: If the content of metal ions is high, it is necessary to add 0.1 - 0.5 g/L of complexing dispersant.
Heating: Heat up to about 55°C. First, dilute the bio-polishing agent with clean water in the auxiliary tank and then add it into the main tank (remember not to add the bio-polishing agent first and then heat up to avoid the temperature rising too fast or the local temperature being too high, which will affect the "activity" of the enzyme and cause it to fail).
For sensitive colors, do not perform dyeing and bio-polishing at the same time (such as turquoise blue, bright blue, etc.). It is recommended to perform bio-polishing first and then dyeing.

[Precautions]

When using, the temperature of the dye liquor must be lowered to the appropriate temperature first, and then the pH value must be adjusted. After keeping the pH value of the dye liquor uniform, add an appropriate amount of bio-polishing agent.
The use of cellulase (bio-polishing agent) is quite safe. It is non-flammable and can be completely dissolved in water. Enzymes are proteins. Inhalation of its dust or suspended particles may cause allergic reactions in sensitive people. Long-term contact with some enzymes may irritate the skin, eyes and mucous membranes. If stirred vigorously, dust that is easily inhaled will be generated. The leaked substances should be washed away with water.
