Switchable Smart glass ( Switchable Glass, Privacy Glass, ,PDLC Glass, Magic Glass) is a kind of glass with liquid crystal film sandwiched between two layers of glass. The liquid crystal film is covered by a PVB film in the center, and then placed in an autoclave or a general one-step furnace through high temperature and high pressure. Smart glass not only has privacy protection function, but also has all the application characteristics of safety glass.
When the smart glass is turned off, the liquid crystal molecules will appear irregularly dispersed. At this time, the glass will appear transparent and opaque; when turn on, the liquid crystal molecules are arranged neatly, and light can penetrate freely. At this time, the smart glass instantly appears transparent.
Features of Switchable Smart Glass:
1. Privacy protection function: The main function of smart glass is privacy protection function, which can control the transparent and opaque state of the glass at any time.
2. Projection function: Smart glass is still this very excellent projection hard screen. In a suitable light environment, if you choose a high-lumen projector, the projection imaging effect is very clear and outstanding. (Recommended to use rear projection imaging method)
3. It has the advantages of safety glass, including the safety performance of preventing debris from splashing after rupture, and good anti-strike strength.
4. Environmental protection features: the smart film in the middle of the smart glass can insulate and block more than 99% of ultraviolet rays and 98% of infrared rays. Shield some infrared rays to reduce heat radiation and transmission. And shielding ultraviolet rays can protect indoor furnishings from fading and aging due to ultraviolet radiation, and protect personnel from diseases caused by direct ultraviolet rays.
5. Sound insulation characteristics: The smart film in the middle of the smart glass have sound damping effect. Partially block noise.
