1) Major standard: ANSI/TIA‐222‐G & AISC‐LRFD‐99
2). American, British or European Standard or Australia and other standard
2. Design loading parameters:
1) Antenna load area: both FPA and EPA as per specified by Clients worldwide.
2) Wind speed: Basic design wind speed and operational wind speed (3 second gust) as per requested by the clients.
3) Deflection & Twist Angle: Usually +/- 1° for monopole and +/- 0.5° for 3 leg/4 leg angular/tubular towers
4) Exposure category: C as default one, or B and D as per requested by clients
5) Topographic category: 1 as default one, or 2, 3 ,4 with crest height (meters) as per specified by clients.
6) Ice Loading: Usually there is no ice in the project area.

Telecommunication tower is high-rise structure to carry antenna into sky. It include steel structure and reinforced concrete towers two variety.
Steel structure telecommunication tower include lattice tower, monopole tower and guyed wire tower.
Among them, lattice tower is consisted by angle steel, pipe or solid rod to assembly as one of self supporting tower. Its fabrication and installation is complex. Monopole tower is the new rising star, made by tapered plate or round plate and submerged-arc welding workmanship, high degree of mechanization, prefabricated in the factory and local site easily assembly because its long and thin making small occupied area and good looking appearance those bring very popular for urban area. And can disguise as tree with man-made leaves to shade antenna, very good environment effect.But its deflection become bigger on the loading of wind, so affected by its deflection degree. Guyed wire tower although with much lower cost but occupy big area that mainly for rooftop building.
