The Audi A3 is a subcompact executive/small family car (C-segment) manufactured and marketed by the German automaker Audi AG since September 1996, currently in its fourth generation. The first two generations of the Audi A3 were based on the Volkswagen Group A platform, while the third and fourth generations use the Volkswagen Group MQB platform.

The maximum power of the 1.8 TFSI engine reaches 132kW (180PS), which is much stronger than the existing Volkswagen 1.8 TFSI model, so the 0-100km/h acceleration can reach 7.5 seconds. It is expected that there will be a 2.0 TFSI version in the future with a maximum power of 155kW (210PS) and 0-100km/h acceleration within 7 seconds. In the future, more powerful versions of the S3, RS3 and hybrid versions of the A3 sedan may be launched.
The domestically produced Audi A3 will also be launched in hatchback and sedan versions. The hatchback model is expected to be launched in five-door and three-door versions. Audi hopes that its A3 model will become popular in China, so the sedan version of the A3 is essential.
