The A4L is a long-wheelbase version of the sedan/saloon for the Chinese market, with a 60 mm (2.4 in) longer wheelbase and length. The vehicle was presented at the 2008 Guangzhou Motor Show. The new Audi A4L is also equipped with the Audi dynamic steering system, which can change the transmission ratio according to the driving speed and the selected Audi driving mode. The low-speed driving operation is flexible and the high-speed driving operation is stable. It can work closely with the ESP system to improve safety performance. The combination of radar sensors and rearview mirror LED warning lights improves the active safety of the vehicle while driving.
The new Audi A4L is equipped with a new 8-speed multitronic continuously variable/manual integrated transmission, which makes gear shifting smoother and power transmission smoother, improving driving comfort and fuel economy. In addition, the new generation of quattro full-time four-wheel drive system is also equipped on the Audi A4L. The 40:60 torque distribution allows the driver to obtain higher driving pleasure.
