YP686 Single Component Hand-brush Polyurea Waterproof Coating

1. Introduction

YP686 is a single-component, hand-brush polyurea elastic material, which is composed of isocyanate and amine in a certain proportion, and silicon reinforcing agent is added. It has excellent mechanical properties, good leveling and integral film. The coating is continuous, dense, seamless, beautiful and practical.

6. Storage and transportation

• This product should be stored in a cool, ventilated, and dry warehouse. It is strictly prohibited to be exposed to rain and sun. Keep away from fire source.
• The shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture without opening the original packaging. Beyond the storage period can be tested according to the items specified in this product standard, if it meets the technical requirements can still be used. Please use as soon as possible after opening. Reseal and store when not in use.
• During transportation, it shall be strictly prohibited to be exposed to rain and sun, avoid violent collision, stacked safely and smoothly, and comply with the relevant regulations of the transportation department.

7. Construction conditions

• Base surface requirements: The concrete base surface should be cleaned, repaired and polished to a certain roughness. Ensure that the concrete is handled, with a strength of C25 or above, and the moisture content of less than 8%. After handling the base surface, the next process should be carried out as soon as possible.
• Ambient temperature and humidity requirements: The construction site temperature should be higher than 5℃, and the relative humidity should be less than 85%.
• Ventilation conditions: Ventilation should be maintained during construction.

8. Coating method and requirement

• YP686 can be directly used for construction.
• During construction, in order to ensure the adhesion between layers, sanding should be performed (Note: sanding floating dust must be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner). Roll coat with the solventless epoxy sealing primer. After the primer is completely cured, pour YP686 polyurea onto the floor, scrape it evenly with a trowel (3mm or 5mm bread knife can be used according to the thickness), and proceed to the next process after curing. Curing at room temperature for 12 hours, after coating if in bad weather such as rain, before the next process must be coated with an interface agent.
• Under normal circumstances, the paint film should be maintained for more than 7 days after the painting is completed to ensure the best performance of the paint film.

9. Suggested Dosage

Waterproof national standard thickness ≥1.5mm, dosage per square meter≥2.0kg.​

10. Labor protection and safety

• Before use, you should carefully read the product instructions and warning labels on the packaging containers and be familiar with the construction methods and requirements.
• Open flames are prohibited at the construction site, and electric welding, smoking and other unspecified circumstances are prohibited. Construction must be done under well-ventilated conditions. This product is environmentally friendly material, the user should keep actual records of the construction location, time, temperature, relative humidity, floor surface treatment, materials, etc. for future reference.
• In order to prevent contamination of the construction edge and to maintain a completely straight line at the processing area (or the boundary with the uncoated part), the tape should be used, and the ingredients should be clean to avoid mixing of impurities and keep construction equipment and tools clean. Try not to arrange construction work at night in summer to avoid mosquitoes falling. It will affect the surface aesthetics of the coating film; do not pour the material into the sewer.
