The selection of caster bearings must be clear to the buyer. There are many kinds of bearings
usedin casters. Without it, casters will lose value. Therefore, we suggest that the ideal bearing
should be suitable for their respective applications and ensure that the necessary safety margin is
reserved. Inaddition to the wheel surface, wheel diameter and rotating bearing, the wheel bearing
determines the mobility of the caster and even the quality of the caster. The service environment is
very important for the selection of bearings. Different service environments have different
requirements:Bearings are of the following types:
1. Needle roller bearings - in addition to wear-resistant and deep groove ball bearings, this strong
anti-seismic bearing is mainly used for transportation equipment casters. Compared with other
bearings,needle roller bearing is famous for its extremely low installation height, relatively low rolling
resistance and huge load. The moving speed of the wheel equipped with needle roller bearing shall
not exceed 4km/ h, which is close to the walking speed of people.
2. Tapered bearing - tapered bearing is one of the most important components of roller bearing.
Compared with ordinary bearings, their special advantage is to expand the field of use and provide
improved moving characteristics. It is generally applied to the rotating part of casters.
3. Precision ball bearing - the single row radial precision ball bearing with unique design and in line
with the German industry standard is the highest quality model in the bearing. Wheels equipped with
these ball bearings can maintain extremely low rolling resistance even when carrying the maximum
load.
4. Ordinary bearing - the simplest form of wheel bearing is sliding or friction.. They are earthquake
resistant, almost maintenance free, and corrosion resistant based on the characteristics of the
material. If the equipment only needs to move at a short distance and low speed, we recommend
installing wheels with ordinary bearings.
5. Plane bearing and conical bearing: suitable for casters with high and ultra-high load, high speed
and anti-collision requirements.
6. Thrust bearing, namely thrust bearing, is generally composed of two or more thrust gaskets and
several rolling elements. Generally, the thrust gasket is divided into shaft plate and seat plate.
Generally, the most common type of rolling element is composed of iron or copper cage. The most
common type of bearing is steel ball thrust bearing.
