1. When the workpiece is too high, it shall be roughened by layers with tools of different lengths. After
roughening with a large knife, the remaining materials shall be removed with a small knife.
2. The flat bottom knife shall be used to process the plane, and the ball knife shall be used less, so as
to reduce the processing time; If there is a slope and it is an integer, it shall be processed with a slope
knife.
3. Reasonably set the machining tolerance to balance the machining accuracy with the computer
calculation time, do more processes and reduce the empty tool time.
4. If the hardness of the blank material is high, reverse milling shall be selected; If the hardness of
blank material is low, forward milling should be selected. Reverse milling is preferred for rough
machining and forward milling is preferred for finish machining.
5. For machining equipment, tools with good toughness and low hardness are suitable for rough
machining, while tools with poor toughness and high hardness are suitable for finish machining.
