In general, professional authoritative testing institutions are divided into the following parts to determine whether 304 stainless steel pipe is qualified:
1. Surface quality
It is generally required that the outer surface of the pipe should be clean, without cracks, folding, stratification, pickling traces and oxide iron sheet. The surface roughness of the circular tube shall not be lower than Ra0.8.
2. Size deviation
Detection unit has standard requirement to the outside diameter and wall thickness of pipe material, but different application scope can have different requirement, specific should be asked when purchasing.
3. Appearance quality
The two ends of the pipe should be perpendicular to the axis of the pipe and should be smooth. Minor deformations and minor defects due to the cutting method are allowed.
4. Mechanical properties and process properties
Tensile strength, yield strength and elongation after fracture are the main factors to determine the mechanical properties of a pipe, which are related to whether it can be processed or applied in some fields. The flattening test is to test the process performance, to see if there are cracks and cracks when the steel pipe diameter is flattened to 2/3.

6. Corrosion resistance
