ASTM A789/ ASME SA789 Super Duplex 2507, also known as S32750, is a type of stainless steel that exhibits a unique combination of austenitic and ferritic properties (consist of approximately 50% austenite and 50% ferrite). This composition provides excellent mechanical strength and corrosion resistance.
The comparative advantages including: Higher Chromium and Molybdenum Content: 1. Compared to standard austenitic stainless steels, S32750 offers superior corrosion resistance, especially against chlorides and reducing environments. 2. Resistance to Localized Corrosion: Its resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion is significantly higher than that of conventional stainless steels.
