A flange can be regard as a method of connecting pipes. A slip on flange is mainly used for low-pressure fluids that have minimal risk of leakage. Stainless Steel Slip On Flange is usually used in water lines, low-pressure compressed airlines, etc. The ASME B16.5 Slip On Flange is a standard used by different industries for quality and ety. These flanges are used in various industries such as oil and gas industry, petrochemical, etc.
F304 Stainless Steel Flanges are known as 18-8 grade with a higher content of chromium and low carbon content. The presence of low carbon content in the alloy restricts the formation of carbide precipitates during welding along with minimizing the 304 Stainless steel Flanges from being susceptible to intergranular corrosion. F304 Flanges are also known to resisting moderately aggressive organic acids like acetic acid. The nickel contained in the alloy provides resistance to the ASTM A182 F304 Flanges in moderately reducing solutions for such as in pure phosphoric acid, in cold solutions as well as up to 10% diluted hot solutions.
