What is ASTM A694 Flanges?
ASTM A694 flanges are available in different grades such as F42, F52, F60, F65 and F70. the difference lies in the chemical composition. the composition of ASME SA694 high yield CS F52 slip-on flange has carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, molybdenum, nickel, chromium, copper, vanadium and niobium.
ASTM A694 flange is used to connect pipes, valves, pumps and other equipment to form a piping system. It is usually in the form of a welded or screwed fastening. It has a joint where the two flanges are bolted together with a gasket in between to provide a seal.
There are different types of ASTM A694 flanges, such as ASTM A694 slip-on flanges, ASTM A694 blind flanges, ASTM A694 socket weld flanges, ASTM A694 orifice flanges, ASTM A694 long weld neck flanges, ASTM A694 threaded flanges, etc.
Characteristic of ASTM A694 F52 Flange
HIGH STRENGTH: A694 F52 flanges are manufactured from high-strength carbon and alloy steel, which provides excellent strength and endurance. This enables them to withstand high pressure and high temperature conditions in the working environment.
CORROSIVE RESISTANCE: A694 F52 flanges have excellent corrosion resistance and are able to resist chemical attack. This makes their application in corrosive media more reliable.
GOOD SEALING: A694 F52 flanges have good sealing performance, which can effectively prevent media leakage. They are usually equipped with sealing gaskets or sealing rings to ensure the e and reliable operation of piping systems.
High-temperature stability: A694 F52 flanges are able to maintain stability in high-temperature environments and are not easily deformed or lose performance. This makes them suitable for piping systems in high temperature conditions.
