GOST9941-81 12X18H12T Russian standard Boiler Tube ASTM A269
GOST9941-81 is a Russian standard for seamless cold and warm-deformed steel tubes. The 12X18H12T grade refers to a stainless steel material with the following composition:
- 12% chromium
- 18% nickel
- 12% titanium
This material is commonly used in boiler tubes due to its high corrosion resistance and heat resistance properties. The seamless construction of these tubes ensures high strength and reliability in high-pressure and high-temperature applications.
12X18H10T is made of Russian material, which is the same as the American material AISI321. The difference in its chemical composition is that 12X18H10T requires C% max 0.12, P% max 0.035, Cu% max 0.3, while AISI requires C% max 0.08, P% 0.045, and no Cu% specifications. Generally our raw materials can meet both requirements, so they are the same for us.
12X18H10T and 08X18H10T pipes are the most popular materials imported from China among Russian customers. Compared with 304, this material has added Ti and 1% nickel content, making the material more resistant to intergranular corrosion, creep and high-temperature stress fracture.
The scale of this order is difficult for the factory to produce. Thin-walled seamless pipes require more production processes and higher costs, and the outside of the pipe requires 320 mesh polishing, so the wall thickness must be very good. Polishing always requires a deduction of 0.05-0.1 mm from the wall thickness. Due to our good process control, the tubes have very good final thickness and surface.
