The ASME SA213 TP304 and TP304L Stainless Steel Seamless Tubes are high-performance tubes designed for heat exchanger applications. Known for their excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, and thermal conductivity, these tubes are ideal for use in boilers, condensers, heat exchangers, and other systems requiring high efficiency and durability under extreme conditions. TP304L is the low-carbon version of TP304, offering improved weldability and corrosion resistance in welded areas.
TP304 Stainless Steel is a highly versatile austenitic stainless steel alloy known for its outstanding corrosion resistance to various acids, especially in high-temperature and oxidizing environments. It is the most widely used stainless steel grade, offering excellent mechanical properties, weldability, and formability.
TP304L has a lower carbon content (≤0.03%), making it better suited for welding applications, as it reduces the risk of carbide precipitation during welding and improves resistance to intergranular corrosion.
2. Seamless Tube
Seamless construction ensures that the tube has no welds, which significantly increases the structural integrity and pressure resistance of the tube. It is particularly beneficial in high-pressure and high-temperature applications, where welding defects might lead to failure.
The seamless nature of the tube also ensures uniformity in its dimensions, smooth internal surface for fluid flow, and better performance in heat transfer.
