MITTEL STEEL produces and supplies ASTM A312 products in welded and seamless tubes and pipes. Stainless steel pipe ASTM A312 has 4 main grades TP304/304L, TP316/316L. TP304/TP304L and TP347 are included in ASME pressure vessel code and the Chemical Plant and Refinery Piping Code, These steel tubes are e to be used in temperatures as low as −425 °F [−250 °C] without impact tests qualification.
ASTM A312 covers seamless and straight-seam welded austenitic pipe intended for high temperature and general corrosive service. Steel pipe of ASTM A312 should be marked with the following info: Pipe size, wall thickness, specification, grade, seamless or welded, heat number, etc. Welded pipe of ASTM A312 should not use filler metal in automatic welding, large diameter pipe may have 2 longitudinal welds, pipe can be hot finished or cold finished.
