Characteristics

Main species

Stainless steel wire mesh can be divided into 316 stainless steel mesh and 304 stainless steel mesh according to the material;

Advantages of 316 stainless steel mesh:

18Cr-12Ni-2.5Mo is particularly good in corrosion resistance, atmospheric corrosion resistance and high temperature strength due to the addition of Mo. It can be used under harsh conditions, compared with other chrome-nickel stainless steel in brine, sulphur water or halogen salts. It is less susceptible to corrosion. Corrosion resistance is better than 304 stainless steel mesh, with good corrosion resistance in the production process of pulp and paper. Moreover, the 316 stainless steel mesh is more resistant to the erosion of the marine and aggressive industrial atmosphere than the 304 stainless steel mesh.

316 stainless steel mesh is mainly used for screening and filtration under acid and alkali environment conditions, and also in mining, chemical, food, pharmaceutical and other industries.

Advantages of 304 stainless steel mesh:

304 stainless steel mesh has excellent stainless corrosion resistance and good resistance to intergranular corrosion. In the experiment, it is concluded that the 304 stainless steel mesh has strong corrosion resistance in the nitric acid below the boiling temperature of ≤ 65%. It also has good corrosion resistance to alkaline solutions and most organic and inorganic acids.
