Selection of squeegee hardness
1, soft rubber scraping. Soft squeegee is generally used in the beginning of printing pressure, with large mesh opening and low ink viscosity. Soft squeegee is the best choice for printing irregular objects and printing on uneven printing platforms. Using soft rubber scraping printing, the amount of ink adhesion is large, and the fineness of the printed image is moderate, which is generally used for large-area printing and glass and ceramic printing. The hardness of a soft squeegee is generally 65 degrees.
2, medium hardness scraping. When the printing pressure is large, the medium hardness squeegee is used, and any mesh screen and various inks can be selected for medium hardness squeegee printing. Using medium hardness squeegee printing, the ink adhesion is large, the image resolution is high, and it is suitable for printing various types of substrate materials. The hardness of the medium hardness squeegee is generally 65-75 Shore.
3, hard rubber scraping. When the printing pressure is the highest and the ink viscosity is high, use a hard rubber scraper. The amount of ink attached is small, and the image resolution is quite good. Usually, fine screen printing can be selected for fine screen printing, and the ink layer printed is very thin. Hard rubber scraping hardness is generally 75-85 Shores.
FIMOR squeegee instructions:
Cleaning: Wipe off excess ink and clean it with a soft cloth dampened with a suitable solvent. Do not use strong solvents, especially ink thinners, to clean the squeegee. The squeegee should be left idle after grinding or before use to completely evaporate the solvent.
Grinding: It can be ground in a general way: belt type, roller type, knife cutting type can only grind dry squeegee. After grinding, it can't be wiped with solvent immediately.
Storage: During the medium and long-term storage, the squeegee should be wrapped and placed in a dry and cool room to avoid direct light irradiation. Otherwise, the hardness of the squeegee will change.
