The special spray drying equipment for egg powder produced by our company is the most widely used process in the liquid process forming and drying industry. It is most suitable for the production of powdery and granular solid products from the solution, emulsion, suspension and plastic paste liquid raw materials. Therefore, spray drying is an ideal process when the particle size distribution, residual moisture content, bulk density and particle shape of the finished product must meet exact standards.

I. Plant principles:

The working principle of the system: the air is filtered and heated, and enters the air distributor at the top of the dryer. In a spiral shape, the hot air enters the drying chamber evenly. The liquid is sprayed into a very fine misty liquid droplet through a high-speed centrifugal atomizer at the top of the tower body, and it can be dried into a finished product in a short time by co-current contact with hot air. The finished product is continuously discharged from the bottom of the drying tower and the cyclone, and the exhaust gas is vented by the fan.

The working principle of the atomizer

When the feed liquid is sent to the feed pipe of the atomizer, it is quickly sent to the high-speed rotating atomizing disk after being distributed once or twice, and Due to the effect of centrifugal force, the liquid stretches as a film on the surface of the rotating atomizing disk and moves toward the edge of the disk at an increasing speed. When leaving the edge of the disk, the liquid is atomized, and there occurs a split-up in the form of droplet, filament and membrane. Which type of split-up is dominant is related to the rotation speed of the atomizer, the amount of feed, the nature of the liquid and the shape and diameter of the atomizing disk, and the droplet size mainly depends on the peripheral speed of the atomizing disk.

Breaking of eggs, Removing the shell, Filtration, Pasteurization,Cooling, Homogenizing, Storage, Drying and, Packaging.

II. The technical requirements for the egg powder production line are as follows:

1. Raw material specific gravity - 1,041 kg/1 L;

2. Raw egg moisture - 75%;

3. Egg powder moisture requirement – 4 to 6%;

4. Processing temperature - 168℃ to 180℃;

5. The amount of raw material handled is -14000L/24h;

6. In-Contact parts in SUS316.

7. The other non-contact materials: can be covered with heat-resistant carbon steel;

8. Eggs entering the spray tower are processed by shell separation unit.

9. The product must be like powder particles, similar to milk powder;

III. The entire production line also needs the following parts:

a) Egg washer

b) Sheller

c) Pasteurization disinfection unit: hourly output of 2000L, disinfection time of six minutes

IV. Technology Features
Each egg contains 50-55 GM slurry which contains 22-25% 'total solids'. Egg powder can be reconstituted and can be used for a variety of purposes including- omelette's preparation, baking purpose and for several other value-added products. While eggs are prone to breakage during transportation, egg powder are completely safe and has a longer shelf-life.

V. Plant features:

The drying speed is fast, the surface area of the liquid is greatly increased after being atomized by the high-speed centrifugal atomizer. In the hot air flow, 95%-98% of the water can be evaporated instantaneously, and the drying time is only a few seconds, which is especially suitable for drying heat sensitive materials.

The product has good uniformity, fluidity and solubility, and the product has high purity and good quality. The production process is simplified and the operation control is convenient. For liquids with a moisture content of 40-60% (up to 90% for special materials), it can be dried into a powder product at one time. After drying, no pulverization and screening are required, which reduces the production process and improves the purity of the product. The particle size, bulk density and moisture of the product can be adjusted within a certain range by changing the operating conditions, and the control and management are very convenient.
