Identification/Area of Application
Med Accessories offers oximetry sensors that are indicated for continuous noninvasive monitoring of arterial oxygen saturation and pulse rate. These sensors are designed to be fully compatible replacements for use with major brands of pulse oximeters.
The reusable sensors are available for four categories of patients:
Adult: Suitable for patients with a weight greater than 30 kg.
Pediatric: Suitable for patients with a weight between 10 kg and 50 kg.
Infant: Suitable for patients with a weight between 3 kg and 20 kg.
Neonatal/Adult: Suitable for patients with a weight less than 3 kg or greater than 40 kg.

Relative humidity: 10% to 85%

Performance/Reliability/Safety/Compatibility/ Mechanical Integrity
The SpO2 finger sensor and its compatible pulse oximeter have been validated and tested to EN ISO9919:2005 standards. Performance specifications for percent saturation (SpO2) and pulse rate comparison measurements are as follows:
SpO2 range (90%-100%): Accuracy ±2%
SpO2 range (70%-90%): Accuracy ±3%
SpO2 range (<69%): No specified accuracy provided
Pulse rate range: 20-250 bpm
Accuracy: ±2 bpm
In terms of safety, the SpO2 finger sensor has a Type BF level of protection against electric shock. It also complies with the Level IIb safety classification of MDD 93/42/EEC.
