Product Introduction

Nimonic 90 strip is a high-performance nickel-based high-temperature alloy strip, mainly composed of nickel, chromium, cobalt and other elements, with appropriate amounts of titanium and aluminum added as strengthening elements. This alloy can further improve its strength and toughness through solution treatment and aging treatment. Solution treatment is usually carried out in the temperature range of 1050℃-1150℃, followed by rapid cooling (such as water quenching or oil quenching) to avoid the re-precipitation of precipitated phases. Aging treatment is carried out in the temperature range of 650℃-850℃, and the re-precipitation of precipitated phases and precipitation of grain boundaries are promoted by controlling the time.

Processing performance:

1. Hot Working Temperature Range: Nimonic 90 Wire can be hot worked in the temperature range of 1050-1200°C (1922-2192°F). In this temperature range, the alloy exhibits good hot working properties and is able to effectively avoid cracking and deformation during processing.
2. Dynamic Recrystallization (DRX): At 1130°C, Nimonic 90 undergoes dynamic recrystallization, which is the key mechanism for maintaining good ductility and toughness at high temperatures. The peak power dissipation efficiency of dynamic recrystallization is about 38% and occurs at a strain rate of 0.1 s⁻¹.
