What size are kquartz slabs?
kquartz slabs come in a standard size of 55”x119” in both 2cm (3/4″) and 3cm* (1 1/4″) thicknesses. Additionally, selected colors are available in both our XL size of 65”x130”, as well as half slabs of 26″x118″*. kquartz has a variety of colors also available in 1.2cm (1/2”) thickness.
What are the reasons to choose quartz?
kquartz is manufactured using the most advanced and latest technology from China. It’s a composite of natural quartz, one of the most abundant and hardest minerals on the planet, and pigments that are bound with high quality polymer resins. kquartz is a solid non porous surface product that is resistant to scratches, stains, and water, thus providing a virtually maintenance free surface.
Can I cut on it?
Although kquartz is extremely scratch resistant, it is not scratch proof. We do not recommend cutting or chopping directly on your countertop, rather it’s recommended to always use a cutting board.
Can I put a hot pot on it?
Always use a hot pad or trivet when setting down hot objects such as pans or plates. Direct contact with extremely high heat can cause damage to your kquartz surface.
Can I use it on floors or walls?
Yes! kquartz can be used in a variety of residential and commercial applications for both floors and walls. Suitable for many types of indoor flooring applications, kquartz is also an excellent choice for a wide variety of indoor wall applications including backsplashes, tub surrounds, shower walls, and other interior wall surfaces.
Whichkquartz colors are NSF/51 rated?
All colors are NSF/51, however Sparkling White, Sparkling Grey, and Sparkling Black are NSF rated only for the splash zone.
How should I clean my countertops?
Routine daily cleaning can be done with mild soap and warm water. Be sure to rinse thoroughly. Heavier cleaning can be accomplished using a non-abrasive cleanser and sponge.
Does it stain?
kquartz is resistant to staining, however it is not stain proof. Minimal maintenance and routine cleaning will keep your counters looking new. Take care to avoid spilling harsh chemicals such as drain cleaners, paint strippers, oven cleaners, or other high Ph chemicals on your kquartz surfaces.
Can it be used outdoors?
kquartz is not recommended for exterior use, as exposure to direct sunlight for prolonged periods can result in color changes, fading and/or warping.
What kind of sink can I use with kquartz?
kquartz is compatible with any sink of your choice. Your certified kquartz fabricator/installer can provide you with advice on what sink is best for your application.
Does kquartz come with a warranty?
kquartz comes with a 15 year warranty for residential projects and a 10 year warranty for commercial installations.
Will I see any seams in my countertops?
Although seam appearance can be minimized, they will always be visible. It’s best to discuss seam placement and appearance with your fabricator/installer prior to installation.
Does kquartz produce any dangerous off-gases?
kquartz carries both Greenguard and Greenguard Gold certifications to ensure the highest levels of indoor air quality, and is certified to produce no VOC’s or harmful off-gasing in your home or project.
Does the color/pattern go all the way through the slab?
Yes, kquartz is solid all the way through the slab. The same beauty and color you see on the surface continues all the way through allowing for a wide variety of edge profiles without a change in material appearance.
