Dual Axis Solar Slew Drive With Planetary Geared Motor For Solar Tracking System
Description
Hangtuo’s slewing drives provide a large ratio in a single stage of gearing, optimized for weight versus performance. The bearings and gears are assembled into a low-profile, self-retaining, and ready-to-install housing, enabling the product to react to all axial and radial forces, and resulting tilting moments created in the most challenging applications. These highly-adaptable products also feature strong shock resistance, long-life performance, smooth rotation, bearing protection, and sealed drive options. All of the technical benefits, combined with industry-leading quality standards, make Hangtuo products the ideal candidates for performance-critical, heavy-duty applications.
The Slew Drive Working Principle
The worm is driven by the motor, which drives the outer ring of the slewing ring to rotate; the outer ring output the torque through the flange and the inner ring of the slewing ring is fixed in the housing. Slewing drive has reverse self-locking because of worm gear drive with reverse self-locking characteristics.

Glossary of Key Parameters
Tilting Moment Torque: Torque is the load multiplied by distance between the position of load and the center of slewing bearing. If the qorque generated by load and distance is greater than the rated tilting moment torque, slewing drive will be overturned.
Radial load: Load vertical to the axis of slewing bearing
Axial load: Load parallel to the axis of slewing bearing
Holding torque:It is the reverse torque.When the drive is rotating reversely, and parts are not damaged,The maximum torque achieved is called holding torque.
Self-locking: Only when loaded, the slewing drive is not able to reverse rotate and thus called self-locking.
