Description of slewing drive
Solar tracking system enclosed housing slew drive With tilting moment capacity.
Slewing drive’s mainly consists of a slewing bearing, a worm shaft&motors(AC,DC, hydraulic). It can also bear axial load, radial load and tilting moment.The main advantage is easily to install,maintain and save installation space.
SDE enclosed housing slew drive help power movement across industries and are perfect for situations requiring both load-holding and rotational torque from the same gearbox. Typical applications include solar trackers, wind turbines, satellite and radar dishes, truck cranes, man lifts, utility equipment, hydraulic equipment attachments, oil tool equipment, tire handlers, digger s, and automotive lifts.
Enclosed housing slew drive provide load support and controlled rotational torque in both single and dual-axis solar trackers.Our in-house solar tracker is used for accelerated life cycle tests of applied torque, radial, and axial loads, and overturning movement. There is a special weighted cage structure so that we can mimic up to 120 square meter PV panel.
The slewing drive is a gearbox that can safely hold radial and axial loads, as well as transmit a torque for rotating. The rotation can be in a single axis, or in multiple axes together.Slewing drives are made by manufacturing gearing,bearings, seals, housing, motor and other auxiliary components and assembling them into a finished gearbox.
Slewing drive is widely applied in modular trailers, cranes, timber grab equipment,aerial working platform, solartracking systems wind power systems, etc.
slewing drive is suitable for high-latitude areas and the effciency of power generation will be increased over 35%,which significantly improve the effciency of solar power generation system.
For horizontal single-axis solar tracking system, the main shaft of solar panel will adjust the angle to precisely track the declination angle. This kind of slewing drive is only applied for low latitudes area.
By adopting slewing bearing as its core component, slewing drive can bear axial force, radial force and tilting moment simultaneously. Slewing drive is widely applied in solar tracking systems.
The solar tracking system is divided into horizontal single-axis solar tracking system, tilted single-axis tracker and dual axis solar tracking system.
The slewing drives which are used in solar tracking systems are mainly single axis (SE series), dual axis (SDE series) and vertical type (VE series). And the most common used models are SE3, SE5, SE7, SE9; SDE3, SDE7 , VE7, VE9.
