Description:

Remote Meter Reading System is an important content of power management, it is the last link between user and power supply bureau, and also the result for production and operation. Along with the development of economic, more and more electricity enterprises take IC card prepayment electricity meter for home use. And in such situation, difficulty in management becomes to be a problem. Remote Meter Reading System take standard WINDONS interface, which can be operated with mouse or keyboard at same time. It has multi functions that can bring you simply management.

General:

1. An AMR/AMI solution is basically consisted of three layers: meter reading and control devices (mainly consisted of meters), communication devices and system/data management center.

2. Meter reading and control devices are basically consisited of meters with remote and automatic reading functions or features like RS485, RF, PLC, etc. There can be load switch, integrited monitor, data collector, etc.

3. Communication devices builds the commmunication network or channel between meter and management center. There are normally concentrator, handheld reader (HHU), communication network like GMS/GPRS, PSTN, internet, optical fibre, etc.

4. Management center are basically consisited of a group of computer hardware like servers, computers, printers, etc and functional software modules or softwares such as the meter (esset) management module, user or customer management module, security and structure setting module, database and report statistic module, etc. The management software can realize both off-line management and on-line management and provide service at 24 hours a day.

Feature:

HOW TO USE:
1. Customer goes to fee-charging center (or power sale agency & office) and pays for the power/water/gas/heat firstly, then staff will open account for customer through software and IC card reader-writer and then give him an IC card with purchased amount and relevant user information inside.
2. Customer takes his IC card to home and swipes it on the induction area of meter and then the purchased amount will be automatically input into his meter. Then smart prepaid meter will switch on valve to supply power/water/gas/heat.
3. Meter will alarm by showing information on the LCD/LED constantly when there is no enough power/water/gas/heat inside the meter, the first time alarming amount can be set in advance. Meter will alarm again by stopping work and cut supply when reach to second alarming amount. Customer can use the remains by swiping his IC card to reactivate meter. When the remains is also used up, meter will stop work again. Customer can use again only after recharged.
