It is mainly applicable to the iron and manganese removal of groundwater in high-iron and high manganese areas, and the pretreatment of industrial demineralized water and demineralized water equipment. The equipment adopts the principle of iron and manganese removal by aeration oxidation, manganese sand catalysis, adsorption and filtration. It uses the aeration device to dissolve oxygen in the air into water, and then oxidizes Fe2 + and Mn2 + into water-insoluble Fe3 + and MnO2, and then combines the catalysis, adsorption and filtration of natural manganese sand to remove iron and manganese ions from water.
Working principle
After the underground water containing iron (manganese) is aerated or added with oxidant, the iron (manganese) ions in the water begin to oxidize. When the water flows through the manganese sand filter layer, the contact oxidation reaction, the biochemical action and the physical interception adsorption on the surface of the filter material will occur in the filter layer, so that the iron (manganese) ions in the water are precipitated and removed. Especially in the process of treating slightly polluted manganese containing groundwater, the iron bacteria can not only effectively remove iron and manganese, but also take ammonia in the water as a nutrient source for metabolism, and achieve the effect of removing ammonia nitrogen with the participation of other bacteria.
Process description
The well water enters the aeration device after being pressurized by the self-priming pump, which mainly allows the well water to fully contact with the oxygen in the air; Oxidation of low valent iron ions and low valent manganese ions into high valent iron ions and high valent manganese ions in water by oxidation method and rapid precipitation.
The normal operating conditions of the system are as follows: the operating pressure is 0.3MPa, and the average filtering speed is15m / hr.
1. When the iron concentration in the groundwater is between 5-10mg / L and the manganese concentration is between 1-2mg / L, or when the groundwater contains only iron but no manganese and the iron concentration is about 10mg / L, aeration single-stage iron and manganese removal filtration can be used.
Process flow: groundwater → deep well pump → aeration device → water tank → filter pump → iron and manganese removal device → reservoir → water user.
2. If the underground water contains high iron and manganese, that is, when iron is more than 10mg / L and manganese is more than 2mg / L, aeration dual stage iron and manganese removal filtration should be adopted.
Process flow: groundwater → deep well pump → aeration device → water tank → filter pump → primary iron and manganese removal device → secondary iron and manganese removal device → reservoir → water user.
