Product Overview For E14 E26 E27 E39 E40 Lampholders Go & Not Go Gauge:
The lampholder “Go” and “Not Go” gauges are manufactured according to relative requirements of IEC 60061-3, they are required by UL 496 2013 clause 5.2.4.2.
These lampholder gauges are used to check whether the dimensions and shapes of the lampholders meet standard requirements by using the lampholders interchangeable size gauges.
E14, E26, E27, E39, and E40 are the size specifications of the screw socket, which are used to specify the standard for connecting the bulb to the socket. And "Go and Not Go Gauges" (also known as "GO/NO-GO Gauges") is a measuring tool used to check whether the dimensions of the product meet the requirements.
During the manufacture and assembly of screw sockets, a GO/NO-GO gauge is used to confirm that the dimensions of the socket are within specification. The GO gauge is used to check the maximum allowable size of the lampholder, while the NO-GO gauge is used to check the minimum allowable size. A lampholder is dimensionally acceptable if it passes the GO gauge but not the NO-GO gauge. If the lampholder fails the GO gauge, or if it is able to pass the NO-GO gauge, then the lampholder size fails.
By using a GO/NO-GO gauge, you can ensure that the screw base is sized to the standard, ensuring a safe and secure bulb connection. This is very important for both luminaire manufacturers and users, as improper sizing can lead to bulbs that cannot be installed or connected unstable, thereby affecting lighting effects and safety performance.
