316L Stainless Steel Sintered Ballast Water Filter For Ballast Water Treatment
Without ballast water, modern freight shipping is inconceivable. Each year, between ten and twelve billion tons of ballast water are transported by ocean going vessels . However, it presents an enormous environmental problem all over the world.
The stainless steel sintered ballast water filters are inserted in a hollow body (known as a filter housing) in the path of the fluid flow, parallel to the flow, forcing the fluid to pass through the filter media. The size of the wire mesh required depends upon both the type of fluid to be filtered and the size of the impurities.
